Howdy!
As some of you know (apparently there are some who DO NOT read my e-mails) the guessing has officially closed! I had to work all day Saturday and into Sunday nagging a bunch of you slackers who were floating around in the abyss undecided on your number or thinking that you had all the time in the world. In the corporate world, deadlines are deadlines…so, since I’m a businessman, I hold myself and the crew to the same standards!!! However, it was well worth my time because I was able to add 58 guesses to the pot which was almost a 59.33% increase over last week!
The spreadsheet and final pot amount will be distributed next week after the editing and marketing department gets it cleaned up! I skipped a lot of those 7am computer classes in college!!! For those of you still in school…don’t do what I did!
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: When you receive the list please review and make sure I didn’t fat finger the keyboard and mess up your guess! But remember, I do have records if there is a discrepancy!
I am pleased to announce that the Lobster crew has finally landed on Badgers Island. We arrived late last Thursday night in a whirlwind. Pretty sure we woke up the whole island. As neighbor Tony said “there goes the ‘hood!” It didn’t take long for us to have the whole “hood” up in arms; William spent all day Friday in and out of his new summer car - the LeBaron (that happens to need a new engine, thanks Uncle Kenny!!) - and found the horn, a LOT! Unfortunately, we had to leave the buggies in VT with Popa Shouldice and Papa Casella.
We were also met by our awesome neighbors (who will be ready for me to head back to VT before we know it!) and an awesome Cajun style craw-fish boil - shout out to Jumpin’ Jays and Joel for this delicious meal! William enjoyed smashing them into the ground all over the parking lot and eating whole craw-fish, shell and all; what’s the saying “it’s good for him, right?!”
We had a couple Captains meetings over the weekend to huddle up on our launch and season strategy. We will start dropping traps from Ben’s boat hopefully later in the week, the Liza B is still getting fitted for my Co-Captain lil' Duder and isn’t going to be ready until early next week. Another group that can’t hold to deadlines, what’s with you people?!?!
Positive Call Outs: Kate Cole (Ben's wife) was out with a lot of intensity this weekend making sure Ben's traps had adequate line and the buoys painted perfectly. Also, John Jr again... I called him out last week about not putting in a guess, well not only did he put a guess in, but did two per each member of his family - Take note peeps!!! Nice work to both!
This week's spotlight company is Wood Rack @WoodR.ACK!!!!!!!
For those of you with Instagram check it out - website coming soon! Ryan Ackerman, founder and owner of Wood Rack, is originally from Rutland, VT and now lives in Nashua, NH. He is super talented and does awesome work. He makes custom creations and has a knack for signs, states, cutting boards, and basically anything else that you can think of! Check out what he just did for Lil' Duder Lobster Co below!!!!! I heard through the grapevine that he is getting bored with Norwich University stuff. He needed some relief from doing all the mommy graduation stuff and was very excited to take on my project!!!! Toss him a follow on Insta and place an order!
That’s it for this week! I’ve added some e-mails for the people who got bets in. Those who didn’t will be deleted on Sunday and will have to follow along by subscribing to the blog! #LFG!!!
Over n out,
Capt’ Duder
